I found this story so intruiging, the suspense and ruthless manipulation was nail biting and even though it was disturbingly creepy on all sorts of levels I could not stop reading, wanting to know what the outcome would be. There are some heavy hot sex scenes throughout, one, is so erotic it will have you fanning your face. It made her look pathetic and weak, which is a stark contradiction to the strong resilient and feisty Rika we saw throughout most of the book.(Hence the 0.5 star taken off) Instead she was way too quick to forgive, allowing Michael too manipulate her again, giving in to him. I really loved this book but I have to mention that I found it odd that when the truth is revealed to Rika she doesn’t seek her own revenge.
